Hanging out with Rolling Rock

Police responded at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 16 to the intersection of Southeast 72nd Street and 115th Place Southeast, where a car was parked in front of a partially constructed home. The officers found two men in the second story with cans of Rolling Rock beer, and the men said they were just hanging out and did not intend to steal anything. They both appeared to be intoxicated, and police released them to a family member.

Car break-in

A man reported his 2011 Subaru Outback was broken into at Newport Crossing Apartments, 7311 Coal Creek Parkway S.E., between 9 p.m. Jan. 16 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 17. He reported that the front, driver’s side door window was smashed, causing $1,000 in damage, and that a GPS unit worth $250 was stolen.
