Hazelwood to celebrate International Walk to School Day

Hazelwood Elementary School in Newcastle will join schools from around the world this week to celebrate International Walk to School Day.
Students from Hazelwood Elementary will walk and bike to school Oct. 7 along with parents, teachers and community leaders.
The event will begin at approximately 9:15 a.m. with kids and parents walking from different locations in their neighborhood. Walkers and bikers, who include fourth- and fifth-graders — will arrive at the school at 9:45 a.m.
