Hazen senior Dominic Green goes for the score in the Highlanders win over Liberty. Green recently switched his pledge from ASU to UW.
Once Dominic Green secured his release from the scholarship he signed last November with Arizona State University, the record-breaking Hazen High School star knew he wanted to continue his basketball career close to home.
After an informal visit to the University of Washington at the end of April, the 6-foot-7 small forward became intrigued about joining its stellar 2015 incoming freshman class that’s ranked second in the Pac-12 and ninth nationally by Scout.com. Read more

Hazen basketball star makes school history

There’s a new name atop the Hazen High School boys basketball career scoring list.
Senior Dominic Green took over the top spot after a Wednesday night victory over Tyee. Green now has 1,137 career points, edging out 1992 Hazen graduate Jason Hamilton’s 1,109.
Green, a small forward, will continue his career at Arizona State University next year. He signed his national letter of intent in front of family, friends and teammates Nov. 12.
At the time, Green told the Newcastle News that he chose the Sun Devils because of their great coaching staff and the school’s ideal location. Read more
