Coal Creek Parkway lane closures return Feb. 18

Coal Creek Parkway will again be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning Feb. 18 as the city of Bellevue starts Phase 2 of its project to replace an aging culvert.
The closures will occur between Forest Drive Southeast and Southeast 60th Street, and will remain that way until October. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph through the work zone.
The city of Bellevue’s project to build a new bridge replacing a 45-year-old deteriorating culvert began last year. One-lane closures started in May, before the parkway reopened in December. Read more
Liberty teens get candid about marijuana

Not much has changed about the perception of marijuana among teens since voters elected to legalize the drug with the passage of Initiative 502 in 2012.
If anything, legalization has made the drug seem more acceptable, according to a group of Liberty High School students at the third and final forum hosted by the Drug Free Community Coalition Feb. 6.
