Bellevue Fire Department hosts Oct. 4 open house

The Bellevue Fire Department, which contracts with the city of Newcastle, is kicking off Fire Prevention Week with open houses at its facilities Oct. 4.
All nine fire stations, including Newcastle’s Station 9, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents can meet the firefighters who protect their neighborhoods, watch fire-extinguisher demonstrations and try on firefighter gear.
The Newcastle station is at 12412 Newcastle Way.
