“Big Top Bandits” arrested
The two men who allegedly robbed the Newcastle Bank of America in July have been arrested, Newcastle Police Chief Melinda Irvine said in a statement.
One of the two may have been the same person that robbed the Newcastle KeyBank at the beginning of the year. That man is believed to be responsible for three additional bank robberies.
“Our praise to the FBI for their great work; we appreciate their efforts,” Irvine said in a statement.
The suspects were taken into custody in Renton this morning, thanks to the work of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, with the help of the King County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.
