Take Newcastle Elementary School report card survey before Sunday afternoon

Parents with children at Newcastle Elementary School are asked to take part in an online survey about report cards.

The results from all elementary schools in the Issaquah School District will be used to determine if any improvements need to be made to report cards.

The survey closes at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Fred Jarrett to enter race for county executive seat

State Sen. Fred Jarrett, who has been considering running for county executive in November, said he’s entering the race.

Two Metropolitan King County Council members – Larry Phillips and Dow Constantine, both of Seattle – announced earlier this year they were entering the race to replace Ron Sims as county executive.

Jarrett said he’d offer voters an alternative to a Seattle-based politician for the executive post.
