<p>Organizing for Action (OFA) invites the community to the event, “How will the Affordable Care Act affect you?” at 6:30 p.m. April 18 in the Newcastle Library Meeting Room.</p>

<li>7:00 – 7:40 p.m. – Presentation by Mr. Chewon Lee, the Office of Insurance Commissioner’s Health Insurance Benefit Advisor; and</li>
<li>7:40 – 8:00 p.m. – Questions &amp; Answers with Mr. Lee.</li>
</ul>
<p>About 805,000 Washington residents will qualify for the new expanded free Medicaid and subsidized Exchange insurance plans. By Jan. 1, 2014, all insurance will have to cover doctor&#8217;s visits, hospitalizations, maternity care, emergency room and prescriptions; the insured might be able to get financial help to pay for a health insurance plan; insurance plans cannot deny coverage for a pre-existing condition; and all insurance plans will have to show costs and what is covered in simple language.</p>
