This unfortunate bomb threat took place during the District Swim and Dive Competition hosted at Hazen High School. Several schools from around WA where competing in this event. Swimmers came out of a warm pool to stand outside without proper clothing for over an hour while the facility was checked by police and fire dept officials. The wind was blowing and the kids were cold on the track field in their wet swim suits. As a parent, I was chilled to the bone, and not in a swim suit., just without a coat. The kids went back to their dive competitions... It was hard on everybody.

When I was a kid we'd call in sick pretending to be our parents, or have someone else in the class say "here" when our name was called.

Never crossed my mind to threaten blowing up the school. Guess I was a "small thinker".
