Coal Creek Parkway lane closures, in addition to the one happening due to the Bellevue culvert construction, are coming mid-August.
The city will repave four travel lanes and several intersections of a nearly one-mile segment between Newcastle Way and Southeast 84th Way. The work will require partial, and possibly full, street closures during weekdays and/or weekends. Exact times and dates of the closure are not yet available.
The city announced in October that a portion of Coal Creek Parkway between Newcastle Way and Southeast 84th Way was showing signs of “premature failure,” and needed repairs.
A grant from the state’s Transportation Improvement Board will fund roughly half of the street’s repairs.

I wish that they would try to reconfigure the lane merges. People pile up right at the change from two to one lanes instead of moving over earlier and the whole process of getting through the lane change takes forever.
