It’s officially spring in Newcastle.
No, not because the calendar says March 20 is the first day of spring, but because that familiar red-and-white tent was pitched on the corner of Newcastle Way.
The popular Newcastle Fruit and Produce stand is currently being prepared for a target opening date of March 28.
The seasonal stand sells fresh fruit and vegetables. In addition, it sells plants and trees for landscaping, as well as Christmas trees and wreaths during the holiday season.
The stand is at 13013 Newcastle Way.
