Fall recycling event is Saturday

Newcastle has teamed up with Renton Academy, the Washington State Department of Ecology and King County to hold its fall recycling event at Renton Academy, 6928 116th Ave. S.E., from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Oct. 2.

Nominate now for diamond awards

The Newcastle Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2010 Diamond Awards through Oct. 25.
The awards are given out each year to recognize outstanding members of the community.
This year’s awards ceremony will be Nov. 10 at the Golf Club at Newcastle’s Saint Andrews Ballroom.
