The City Council’s annual budget retreat is Sept. 7. What are the most important issues the council should consider regarding next year’s budget?
The current council should be commended for managing the budget, but it is time we discuss what we can do to bring in more revenue for the city.

A sidewalk will be built on the east side of 116th Avenue Southeast from Southeast 84th Street to Southeast 89th Street for $420,000. What do you think of this project?
As a frequent runner along this stretch of road, I am very pleased and I think it’s a good start. I definitely would like one along 89th between Coal Creek and 116th. Or am I asking too much?
