His experienced in the city is most important, and the fact that we didn’t set ourselves up the way the last council did with the paid car, massive severance, and high pay as with the last city manager.

As for not having been a city manager? Things seem to be going pretty good. Let’s get real, this is not Bellevue, or Federal Way, or Renton, It’s more like running a department in one of those cities.

I’m happy to have someone eager to be here, hungry to grow with us, instead of someone who thinks “your are so lucky to have me”.
