Give up the only community celebration we have for a couple of movies and arbor day? Newcastle Days has been going since our City started. Even our Mayor must remember how energized it was when it started and that was done almost exclusively by volunteers. Remember when it had 3 times as many booths as in the past few years? A beer/wine garden? 2 day car show? Friday night music for the adults? And now we "might" have one and we leave it to the staff to figure out how to make it happen? Come on John. Rally your fellow Councilmembers, remind them what the purpose of Newcastle Days was and get it going. Show some leadership on it.
