City’s Fourth of July  fireworks celebration is at Lake Boren Park 

Independence Day festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with family activities and food from Big O’s barbecue.

From 8-10 p.m., the band AstroCats will be featured on the main stage, followed by the fireworks display. 

The show is set to a score crafted by David Harris, of HTS Audio, which can be heard throughout the park. 

The event is free to the public and a shuttle service from Newcastle Elementary School, 8400 136th Ave. S.E., will be available.
