Culinary champs

After winning the state competition two months ago, Liberty High School’s restaurant management team advanced to the National ProStart Invitational April 24-26 in San Diego.
Bend High School, from Oregon, won the restaurant management competition among 31 teams. Liberty was not among the top five finishers, according to a ProStart representative. The team is, from left, Gabrielle McGrew, Christine Carlson, Nicole Newbury and Jessica Warren.
